Only the delegates who explicitly accept these terms and conditions of participation shall participate in the Congress. |

Congress Participants can take part as active, passive participants or daily passive participants. |

For the congress purposes the organising committee can use each Congress participant's personal data, curriculum vitae, photograph and other data applicable to his participation in the Congress. Each participant allows publication of all supplied data, especially in the official Congress brochure and on the Congress' web site. |

An active participant, whose performance is approved by the organising committee, enjoys the right to perform for maximum 25 minutes on the Congress premises, as well as the right to attend all performances within the scope of the Congress, and is granted a name badge and the official Congress brochure. The programme of the performance should be selected by active participants themselves.
Deadline for registration of all active participants is 15 February 2006. The registration fee for active participants shall be settled by 30 April 2006 at the latest. Active participants who do not pay the registration fee by the specified date, shall not be included in the final Congress programme and are considered as passive participants. Registration fee shall be paid in the amount applicable on the day of payment. The registration fee for active participants amounts to:
- 120 EUR for payments by 31 December 2005, and
- 160 EUR for payments from 1 January 2006 to 30 April 2006. |

A passive participant enjoys the right to attend all performances within the scope of the Congress, and is granted a name badge and the official Congress brochure. Passive participants can register on the Congress' web site or on-site. The registration fee shall be paid in the amount applicable on the day of payment. Registration fee for passive participation amounts to:
- 100 EUR for payments by 31 December 2005,
- 120 EUR for payments from 1 January 2006 to 30 April 2006, and
- 140 EUR for payments from 1 May 2006. |

Daily passive participant enjoys the right to attend all performances within the scope of the Congress on the selected day. He is also granted a one-day name badge. Passive daily participants can register on-site only by paying the registration fee in the amount of 60 EUR/day. |

Each saxophonist who at the Congress performs as soloist or member of a duo, trio, quartet, etc., is liable to an active participant's registration fee. |

Ensembles with 13 members (or more) are granted Congress participation subject to a special fee of 500 EUR/ensemble (if paid until or on December 31st, 2005) or 750 EUR/ensemble (if paid between January 1st and April 30th, 2006). Before and after their performance the members of such ensemble shall not take part in the Congress. Ensemble members who wish to attend other performances within the Congress as members of other ensembles or passive participants, shall register themselves according to the Terms and Conditions of Participation in the 14th WSC 2006. |

An active participant can enter several projects in the Congress (e.g. playing as soloist and performing as a member of a quartet), but the implementation of more than one project by one participant will be at the discretion of the organising committee and subject to technical feasibility. Should implementation of several projects not be viable, the selection of a project to be implemented is at the discretion of the organising committee. |

The organising committee can not guarantee either a performance venue or time for those applicants who are unable to be present at their appointed performance time and/or who might need to reschedule after the programme has been completed. |

Exemption from registration fee: persons exempt from registration fee are: piano accompanists, members of rhythm sections, percussionists and organists, provided they do not take any part in the Congress before and after their performance (do not attend the events within the scope of the Congress). Should they fail to do so, they are liable to payment of registration fee for passive participation or daily passive participation. Persons exempt from registration fee shall not receive the name badge and official congress brochure. |

Loss of name badge: should a participant lose his name badge, he is liable to another registration fee in order to take part in the Congress. |

Admission to venues shall be granted only upon presentation of a name badge. At the discretion of the organiser, admission to the venues shall be granted upon presentation of a valid identity card as well as the name badge. |

Registration fee returns: should a participant who has settled his registration fee cancel participation up to 30 April 2006 inclusive, the organiser shall retain 50 EUR for administrative costs. Should a participant who has paid his registration fee cancel participation after the given date, the organiser shall retain the entire registration fee. |

A Congress participant shall use original scores exclusively. Use of photocopies is not acceptable. A participant whose programme includes an orchestra, and was approved by the organising committee, shall at his own expense provide the score for the conductor and the orchestra materials. The organising committee shall not bear the costs for the score and other materials. |

The official language of the Congress is English. All correspondence (texts, e-mails, biographies,.) to the organising committee shall be in English only. |
17) |
Participation in the Congress is honorary. Each participant shall waive his right to a fee or any kind of remuneration for his performance. |
18) |
A Congress participant approves all events within the scope of the Congress to be recorded with sound and visual image recording equipment. A participant shall waive all claims arising from any kind of legal basis for these recordings and their use. |
19) |
For engagement or utilization of the official piano accompanists, organ, percussions, rhythm section, electronic laboratory or other equipment, the amount of compensation will be specified and announced on the Congress website by the organising committee by 1 October 2005. The compensation shall be settled by 30 April 2006 at the latest. |
20) |
The organising committee reserves the right to have removed from the Congress premises a participant whose inappropriate behaviour has disrupted the Congress or other Congress participants. |
21) |
The organising committee reserves the right to turn down a proposal for Congress participation. |
22) |
The organising committee shall determine the time and place of a participant's performance. |
23) |
On-line accommodation booking via the Congress' web site is not subject of the relationship between a participant and the organising committee, but the relationship between Cankarjev dom and participant. The organising committee shall not guarantee the price and quality of thus booked accommodation. |
24) |
The organising committee reserves the right to take all measures for a smooth organisation and implementation of the Congress. |
